Procrastination and Perfection

There are 10's of thousands of people out there who have 10's of thousands of good business ideas that never get off the ground. Why? Procrastination and perfection--two enemies of the entrepreneur!

Procrastination is one of the biggest reasons people never start the business they dream of. The most typical excuse: "I'll get started on the new business once I finish this other thing..." Any person can fill hours taking care of "other things".

The other reason most businesses never get off the ground is perfection. Instead of getting something built and out into the marketplace, the entrepreneur struggles with trying to make the business (or product) "perfect". You need to go into business building knowing your first product will not be perfect. Quit wasting your time with perfection and get something to market.

Listen, starting a business is hard, not rocket surgery hard, but it takes work. When most people find out what starting a business requires, most back out.

The successful people--the people who make it--they are the ones who work at it! Get it out of your head that these people are smarter than you. That's not the reason for success. What makes these people successful is their drive... they are scratching, clawing, and always doing something for their business.

If you want to be successful, get out there and do it!
