Drive Traffic To Your Website

The world's greatest online marketing plan doesn't mean squat if your newly designed website doesn't get traffic.

So how do you GET traffic?

There are millions of articles on the web describing how to get traffic to your website, but there's SO much information it's often overwhelming.

Let's break website traffic down into its simplest form. There are two forms of traffic:

  • Paid Traffic
  • Free Traffic

Both are good options for driving traffic to your website.

Sometimes when you are just staring out, you need to invest in paid traffic. Brand-new websites take a long time to get rankings within Google. In these cases, paid traffic works well.

We'll focus on paid traffic later. For now, your traffic goal should be free traffic.

Free traffic is sustainable. Paid traffic is not.

This is where SEO comes into play.

I know what you're thinking: "Oh, no. Another acronym I don't understand."

Don't worry. SEO = Search Engine Optimization. SEO is the art of improving organic keyword rankings on search engines—organic means natural, or non-paid.

Once you know what you're dealing with, SEO is a pretty simple concept.

Why Should You Worry About SEO

The goal of search engine optimization (SEO) is to get your website found on the web by people who are actively looking for it!

So what does that mean exactly?

That means you want—and need—targeted traffic to your website. Targeted traffic is high-quality traffic… visitors that will buy your products and services.

In other words, targeted traffic is traffic that is very close to your ideal customer.

Why Traffic Quality Is Important

Traffic quality plays a major role in how well your website converts visitors into customers.

Think about this: If only your ideal customer visited your website, how many products would you sell? Correct answer: A lot of products.

By targeting your specific prospects, you are increasing the odds and probability of a sale.

Of the following, what would you prefer:

  1. 10,000 visits to your website per month and 100 product sales?
  2. 1,000 visits to your website per month and 100 product sales?

I know what my answer is.

The Basics of SEO

Listen, SEO is time-consuming—but it's not that hard. Especially when you use the best seo software.

If you are having trouble ranking for terms, you are probably making some very simple mistakes.

There are certain things you should be thinking about when starting to build or optimize your website. (Don't worry, you don't have to be a rocket-surgeon to figure this out).
